Nansha Area of Guangdong Free Trade Zone embraces over 24.000 new enterprises

April 21, 2017 was the 2nd  anniversary of the establishment of Guangdong Free Trade Zone (GD FTZ).

According to a report released by Nansha District last Friday (April 21), it's GDP reached RMB 127.8 billion in 2016, growing at the fastest pace in Guangzhou for three years in a row.

With the goal of developing into a hub with a high level of opening up, Nansha Area has made great progress in improving its business environment to be more market-oriented, international and law-based.

Register a new enterprise in one day

Up to March this year, 24.671 enterprises have settled in Nansha Area of GD FTZ, 74 enterprises of which are Fortune Global 500. It is said that in the past two years, the number of newly-registered enterprises in this area is more than twice as the total number before the establishment of GD FTZ.

Furthermore, application time of commercial registration has been reduced from three to twenty working days to one working day. In the past two years, investment from 459 foreign enterprises has been filed.

Ailen Li, an account manager of a financial leasing company, as well as one of the newly registered enterprises in Nansha Area, said, "I can’t believe that I can finish all the registration procedures in one day and get the business license so quick. It is really easy for enterprises to finish their registration now."

24/7 customs clearance

According to Qu Yanqian, vice manager of Guangzhou Runshun International Transportation Agency, it is really convenient for logistics company to transport their goods since the facilitation brought by new customs clearance system.

Now, Nansha Customs provides 24/7 service for customs clearance so goods can be transported through Nansha Customs at any time.

"In future, Nansha will keep facilitating trade by learning from Singapore and other countries & regions", said Pan Yuzhang, director general of General Affairs Office of Guangzhou Nansha Area of GD FTZ.
